Portfolio with grey boards, red cloth spine, black lettering and red banding on front board, cloth ribbon ties (faded from red?). French text only. Includes four-page introductory pamphlet (title page, copyright page, one page Introduction by Jean Virette and Table des Planches) and 56 b&w photographic plates on heavy stock (collated) showing decorative ironwork of the Art Deco era. Staircases, doors, radiator grills, balconies, light fixtures, etc. by Bagues, Bergue, Societe Centrale de Constructions et de Materiaux, Edgar Brandt, Szabo, Paul Kiss, Manchelle et Peltier, Piguet, Gilbert Poillerat, Raymond Subes, Schenk et ses Fils, Jean Schwartz, Lameau Freres, and G. Szabo. Plates: all plates have browning and minor wear at the edges; 8 plates have either tiny or small edge chip, tear or crease; plate 41 has a small corner piece missing, plate 45 has narrow piece missing at one corner and a small area of creasing at one edge; plate 46 has narrow piece missing from one corner. Title page is moderately browned. Portfolio boards and spine have edge wear/rubbing, browning, some wrinkling on front board, a few small stains on rear board & one on spine, wear and open tears at top/bottom of cloth spine.
