First Edition
Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good. Elizabeth Vreeken (illustrator). 1st Edition. The Boy Who Would Not Say His Name was written and illustrated by Elizabeth Vreeken. The book was published by The Follett Publishing Company in 1959 and appears to be a First Edition but is not specifically stated as such. It is NOT ex-library copy and both the book and the dust jacket are in very good condition . . . though there IS an inscription written at the top of the title page. Apparently the book was once a gift from Aunt Allice to Kay. It's 6 1/2" by 8" with 30 pages, nicely done color illustrations throughout and a simple larger print story and a Word List on the last page. According to a blurb on the dust jacket flap: "Can be read by second graders, and will be enjoyed by children from first to fourth grade." Thank you!
