Condition: Top and bottom of cover spine frayed. Wear on spine seam and corners. General age discolouration front, spine and back. Good Minus, (G-), Port Jervis Gazette, 1899, 170 pages, in English with a little Dutch text, introductory page, extensive footnotes, illustrated in b&w with a glossy frontis and small inter-text image of church as well as reproductions of a few signatures, 5 in. x 7.25 in., hardcover, brick red buckram with paper label affixed to front (black titles and b&w illustration of church), very minor bumping and rubbing to corners and spine ends, a little slight foxing and soil to front label, front cover faintly cupped, ink ownership stamp and note on front free-endpaper, ink check marks and annotations by previous owner, pages are brittle and have chipping and closed tears to a quite a few page edges, a number of pages in the first portion of the book were loose and have been neatly stabilized with archival glue and mending tissue, otherwise contents clean and tight, item protected in new clear plastic sleeve, book: Good Minus {The book is made up of church records, a section called "Ministers of Machackemech (Deepark) Church", and a section entitled "Amsterdam Correspondence". And while this book does show age and use, its contents are still quite clear, and many of the notes by the previous owner seem to be genealogical expansions on the text.} (G-) 5608 [SHss1122RB].
