Internally, prev owner's (Benjamin C Gibbs) contemporary pencil signature and inscription, modern signature in ink, paper foxed throughout, 1 or 2 dogears, but o/w tight, clean, unmarked and probably never really read. Boards show wear: lightly dirtied, rubbed, corners bumped. Pale-yellow EPs. Stamp faintly to front-pastedown; only evidence that this is ex-libris. Early signs of starting at front gutter; starting at Preface. Frontispiece portrait with tissue guard. Internally clean.

It bring a very rare and almost extinct book which was evaluated by the 1000 people who attended Henry 100th birthday party June 8, 1875 as one of the richest volumes in Methodist literature. It is the 1875 edition - the original 493 pages published in 1865 - plus 100 additional pages.
