Each volume contains black and white plates at the end of volume. Older, aesthetically pleasing shelf labels to lower spine of each volume, with some chipping to label on volume 1. Volumes are generally sound, with varying degrees of wear, including general light to medium wear and soiling to each volume. Two of the volumes admit to a bit heavier wear, including a number of tears and chips to exterior. Hinges are cracked in several volumes, with the worst wear to volume 5, which is also shaken and admitting to loose and nearly detached plates at end. Soiling is also the heaviest on volume 5. Pages admit to mild tanning. Texts are almost perfectly clean, with nary a sign of markings. Despite wear, this is a largely attractive set that still looks nice on the shelf. Additionally, the volumes are in good, user friendly condition, though the aforementioned volume 5 will have to be handled with a little more care. Size: 4to - over 9¾ - 12" tall. Book.
