HARD BACK BROWN. Condition: GOOD. This book basically was a directory of Associate Attorneys during the early years of internet, and contained a telegraphic code for the use of Merchants, Manufacturers, Attorneys, Business Men and all requiring the services of efficient, responsible and trustworthy Attorneys anywhere in the United States or the Dominion of Canada. An excerpt: "Notice to our attorneys. Familiarize yourselves with the cipher key. Answer every letter of inquiry regarding a claim, no matter how small the claim or desperate its character, and do so promptly. It will bring you business. Confirm all telegrams by mail, and send no voluntary telegrams without paying all charges. We publish no daily sheets and can make no use of reports of failures unless accompanied by a list of creditors. We would suggest that you write a personal letter to each creditor, so far as known, giving our agency as reference. Information of an anticipated failure is much better and more likely to prove to your profit. Return promptly any business which, for any reason you cannot attend to, fully stating your reasons." Tight binding. General shelf wear, rubbed extremities, age-toned. DATE PUBLISHED: 1901 EDITION: 241.
