I have never seen anything like it, a true time capsule. Each chapter beginning with their June arrival at ".their new brown bungalow." after their honeymoon, tells a small narrative of Betinna's culinary challanges and mastery of her kitchen skills. The narrative and events follow her through the first year of her marriage. In each chapter she prepares a perfect meal and includes the recipes for each dish she prepares. There is an entire year of special occasions accompanied by a Bettina's story of the occasion and recipes. Betinna not only is a genius in the kitchen, but she also instructs anyone including "Bob" the husband how to do everything in the most tasteful manner. fine; lightest bit of corner rubbing on board corners; all else-clean, tight, and attractive.

This is a hardcover book with 285 pages including many recipes and some illustrations. The binding is strong with all pages firmly attached. The pages are clean with no soiling, writing, or tears. The book is undated for this publisher but appears to be circa 1930 (only date shown is 1917 from previous publisher). The yellow cloth covers with brown text show some very light foxing on the spine. This old book looks and feels great! We always ship in a sturdy cardboard box!
