A finely penned manuscript of an arrangement for piano forte of "Grand Pot-pourri" from Carl Maria Weber's opera Der Freischutz, completed by Weber in 1822. The arrangement, and perhaps this transcription, was by J. K. Ohl, probably Joseph Ohl, sometime Professor of Music, mentioned in Grace Yerbury…'s Song in America, from Early Times to About 1850 as "a Virginian, or he visited Virginia, for his 'Fly On! Nor Touch Thy Wings, Bright Bird' is dedicated to the young ladies of Mrs. Meade's Boarding School" [Scarecrow Press, p. 171]., which was located in Richmond. Faintly pencilled at the bottom of the last leaf is the name "Mrs. Alex. Levy", probably Elizatbeth Levy who died in Louisa Courthouse in 1844. Very Good binding.
