L.A. van Weleveld was an employee of the Supreme Council of Nobility (Hoge Raad van Adel) and author of standard works on Dutch heraldry.

Mulder, heer van Stellendam (first owner) added to the book and followed by plates VII-CCVI. Per plate 6 coats of arms, almost all plates hand coloured. This is the first edition of Van Welevelds book about Dutch coats of arms (2nd 1836, 3rd and 4th 1848). Ex libris of Daniel de Bruijn (Liber de Armis Daniel de Bruijn). Very good copy.
