Contact seller5-star sellerPamphlet. Standard format, two nearly identical views on 3.5x7 inch thick cardstock veneered with a pink printed coating, photos reproduced sepia, these show, ankle-deep in seawater, a 30-ish woman in bulky black swim cloak and leggings, wringing water from hem; she is watched by a grinning boy in middle distance. Far distance,…throngs of bathers, a pier, warehouses. The pink surface is dust-soiled, the sepia prints show a couple faint small pressure marks, back of card similarly soiled with a light crease. Kilburn advert on this backing.

Contact seller3-star sellerHardcover. First edition. 8vo. 216pp. Quarter-cloth over decorative paper-covered boards in original dust jacket. The Bolshevik revolution completely abolished all Jewish institutions in the Soviet Union and in vain attempted to replace them with substitutions completely severed from Jewish history and the fountain heads of Jewi…sh culture. The Jews of the U.S.S.R. were shrouded in a veil of darkness rarely penetrated by outsiders. The author gives the reader a rare glimpse into the life of this isolated important part of Russian Jewry. Tail of spine slightly bumped. Some age wear and staining on dj, parts of edges and head and tail of dj spine chipped. Dust jacket in fair, book in very good condition.
