Very delicate finely executed watercolour 11.8 x 7.8cm signed lower left and dated on the verso in pencil, Penestanan, Bali 1991, in the same script. Atmospheric finely executed miniature with characteristic use of "crowded imagery" made famous in the 1970s by the Batuan School of painting (see Richard Horstmann exhibition notes… to the Keliki Kawan Exhibition 2017, Museum Puri Lukisan, Ubud). This lively charming work shows the traditional Barong dance.
