First Edition
Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. George M. Richards (illustrator). 1st Edition. See photos for condition details. Hardcover with dust jacket. Both corners on the front flap are clipped and there is a spot at the bottom where it appears something was marked out. DJ is faded with numerous chips and tears present. Pale green cloth boards underneath are clean and attractive with only minor spotting and edge bumps. The internal binding is good, no hinge issues although there is some light pulling in spots. The front end page contains a Christmas 1925 gift inscription which is the only handwriting found in the book, no bookplates, no library markings present. Pages show toning and there is some scattered foxing present. Both end pages and pastedowns are darkened, mainly due to reacting with the dust jacket paper over the many decades.
