Add to basketPaperback. Condition: new. Paperback. Description of My Book "WHO IS AKAP?" is a compilation of anecdotes set against the backdrop of World War 2 and beyond. Through my eyes and all other senses, I relate only what I can remember, no matter how unclear some events may be. I talk about my life in an orphanage, together with my four sisters. We were not orphans, but why we were dropped-off there as though we didn't have any parents, I can only guess. The stories may be fragmented at times because I wrote what came to me, as I touched on certain events. Then other stories will come to mind. The theme of this book is my view of religion then and now. I think it is quite different from the rest of Christian society. It also tells of the profound influence the Nuns and Priests had on me and my sisters. Some of them were good and some not so good. There were happy times and there were awful times. War is never good. It was more traumatic for people who understood what was happening and why. I was a child; therefore, it did not affect me like it did our mentors, my older sisters, my parents and the feuding parties. I wanted to put this book out there for many reasons; to entertain, to inform the generations that never experienced war, to influence people who care to listen, that the Golden Rule applies for all of mankind, and by writing this book, I might have contributed something to rid this world of evil and inequality.
