Hard Cover. Condition: Very Good. No Jacket. Reprint. Recent but undated photocopy/digital reprint of this volume in the 'American Guide Series', begun as a project of the WPA during the depression to provide employment for idled writers. Pictures look okay, but nowhere near as nice as the originals. Hardcover, full black buckram, gilt titling. Minor wear, light rubbing; no jacket; light staining to page edges. Text clean; [30], 651 pages, b/w photos, maps (rather than a large folding map, this edition, as did the original, has the state sectioned, one section to a page, plus other maps; wood engravings by Frank Utpatel. Size: 7½" by 10¼". Frank Utpatel (illustrator).
