His works describe "various kinds of tools and gear for farming, cattle-raising, hunting and fishing, and contain explanatory illustrations." Eight editions were published between the years 1771-1783, of which only three were professionally printed. The others were printed by the author himself and three of those were printed with moveable types made of wood. "It was surely entirely unique for this method to be employed at the end of the 18th century." - (Summary). Includes a frontispiece and 22 plates (21 coloured). Largely unopened. Wrappers soiled, some chipping to the edges and spine ends.

Early 20th-century brown half cloth with slightly damaged paper label. Front cover chipped and a few spots. Blind stamp of Kungliga biblioteket covered by another neat stamp "Duplum" in lower margin on first leaf. Occasional spotting, for example, stains of printing ink on the last two plate leaves. Late edition of this charming work with illustrated presentations of the author's own inventions and improvements of agricultural equipment, among other things. Among the described objects are a spear for bear hunting, traps for wolves, foxes, eagles and hares, a fishing-tackle for perch with luminescent bait and swimming floats. The present edition is the most common among the eight that were published between 1771 and 1783, but still a rarity. Jacob Pontus von Wulfschmidt (1730-89) was a corporal at the Bohuslän dragoons before he became active as a agricultural reformer and an inventor. The plates are watermarked "C H" (Carl Hultman) and "L B" under the arms of Uppland for the Lingonbacka paper mill.
