Hardcover. Condition: Very Good+. SIGNED & INSCRIBED by the author. Original red cloth, 5x7 1/4 inches, 43 pp, illustrated with frontispiece. Hardcover, very good to near fine, no dustjacket. Corners lightly bumped, spine faded, previous owner's rubber name and address stamp, name of flower on title page written in, apparently by author, otherwise tight, clean, paper crisp, unmarked and apparently never read. Account of a trip across the USA from Pennsylvania to California and back by a different route, in which he records the wild flowers he observed, making it of use to those wishing to discover the historic range of various species, etc. Travel; natural history; endangered species; flora ; Signed by Author.

Author's route was Columbia to Pittsburgh, to Columbus, to Indianapolis, to St. Louis, to Kansas City, to Los Angeles by the Santa Fe, to San Francisco by the Coast line, to Ogden by the Southern Pacific, to West Yellowstone, through the Park, back to Ogden, to Salt Lake City, to Denver by the Rio Grande, to Chicago by the Burlington Route, to Pittsburgh by way of Fort Wayne, to Columbia. He identifies plants observed along the way. Printed before ISBN or LCCN, this copy has none. No dates, edition nor printing info given. May have been printed by a vanity press so this teacher/author could give gifts since so many copies for sale were inscribed. This copy's inscription dated 1927 which, along with style of clothing in author's photograph as frontis, was probably about date of publication. Inscribed by Author(s).
