There are two separate covers, title pages and paginations on either side of the book block, one in English, and one in Yiddish. The English cover features a photographic reproduction of the Ghetto Uprising memorial sculpture, while the Yiddish cover contains a striking illustration by prolific Polish-American artist Zuni Maud (1891-1956). This commemorative publication on the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising of 1943, is comprised of various essays on different facets of the history of the Ghetto and the Uprising and includes the "Partisan Song", by Hirsch Glick, accompanied by musical notation, as well. Notable contributors include: Yuri Suhl, Emanuel Ringelblum, Bernard "Ber" Mark and Pesakh "Paul" Novick, among others. Includes a listing of the members of the United Committee to Commemorate the Tenth Anniversary of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising. Text in English and Yiddish. Wrappers with some creasing, smudges and chipping to the covers and spine. Yiddish cover with a light stasin along the right side. Book block tight overall.
