This book examines how best to spread Christianity, arguing that it must be taught to nations directly, immediately, and with the most important doctrines of the religion, such as the teachings about the life and death of Christ. The author argues against the idea that a more gradual approach is better, with the provision of general moral or historical information about Christianity, before moving on to larger theological ideas. The author backs up this position by referencing missionary activity across centuries of history, with particular attention to more modern efforts by the Moravians. This book will be of interest to students of religion and history, particularly those interested in the history of missions.
