This book provides a glimpse into the life and passing of the devout Reverend John Barry, a dedicated Methodist minister whose tireless efforts spread the Gospel, particularly in the Caribbean. Born in Ireland in 1792, he experienced a profound spiritual awakening in his youth and shortly thereafter began preaching. Despite initially being rejected for missionary work due to health concerns, he persevered and eventually served in Jamaica, Canada, and Bermuda. His unwavering faith and devotion to God sustained him through trials and tribulations, including a debilitating injury and bouts of illness. Despite his frail health, he continued to minister until his passing, surrounded by the love of his family and friends. Through his journey, Barry exemplified the power of faith, resilience, and the transformative impact of the Gospel.
