The author, drawing on this breadth of knowledge, organizes and presents a vast collection of agricultural practices for landowners, farmers, and laborers across the vast Roman Empire. The reader will find detailed explanations of how to properly select farmland, the best techniques for growing common crops, how to tend and train livestock, and how to construct crucial structures like stables, pens, and granaries. Alongside these practical applications, the author presents a thoughtful examination of the underlying principles of nature that affect agricultural practices, addressing topics like soil composition, the effects of weather, and the behavior of animals.
