NF quality book, stated "First printing"; 1978, Time-Life Books; 11-3/8" x 9-3/8"; 176 numbered pages; navy blue leatherette binding with a 6-5/16" X 5-1/4" color applique on the front panel; no jacket as issued. One of the titles in "The Seafarers" series. The exterior is pristine: no corner bumps or edge dings, no scrapes or other sort of damage; head and heel of spine intact and not damaged; applique and gilt completely intact. Except for owner's name/date inked on the backside of the FFEP, the interior is spotless, free of writing, stray marks, stains of any sort and page damage of any type. As is typical of Time-Life books, a very readable text with numerous and excellent visuals.

It was 22 volumes, all written by experts in their fields, on different aspects of maritime history. All are 175-185 pages, all bound in thick black leatherette, all beautifully illustrated with drawings, paintings and photographs. Of the 22, I have 9 left (the list is below). All are listed here. You can buy one, or as many as you like. Mine are from the first printing. Unless otherwise noted, all are in mint condition. This one is The Explorers, reviewed as "An excellent book that discusses the Great Age of Exploration, and the voyages of Columbus, da Gama, Magellan and other great explorers."
