160pp, (6x9 inches). Near Fine condition in wrappers (soft cover). Everything clean and tight, no tears or creases, no markings. Arranged alphabetically by county, separate section for metal detector sites. Constant reference to map co-ordinates, but no sign of a map ever having been part of the book. The author states that the map references are to the "current" edition of the Rand McNally Standard or Commercial Road Atlas, and explains how to use it to locate the sites.

In my county (contra costs) there is allegedly a half million buried somewhere on a ranch and a lost mine on Mt. Diablo from Indian days. there are 3 metal detector sites in contra costa. many more in Calaveras (gold country).
