A wide-ranging history and review of golf and its development throughout the ages, self-published by the two authors. This copy SIGNED by co-author David I Stirk as part of a dedication on title page. Book in very good condition - a few foxing marks on outside edges of text block. Jacket also in very good condition - Creasing along top edge and a little so bottom edge. PLEASE NOTE! Hardcover. Condition: Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Fine. 1st Edition. This is a first edition, 2nd printing (1982 revised), of Golf in the Making by Ian T. Henderson and David I. Stirk. This copy does include the supplement included in the 1982 revised version, however it appears as if what they did was take the first edition copies left over, and added the supplement to the back, as the supplement is a separate signature of paper made with paper of another color and consistency, while the title page still lists it as a first edition printed in 1979. The book and dust jacket are in fine condition and the dust jacket is protected by a mylar wrap.
