The book is a critique of the theological writings of Emanuel Swedenborg, a Swedish scientist, theologian, and mystic who claimed to have had visions of the spiritual world. In the book, Beaumont argues that Swedenborg's teachings are not in line with orthodox Christian beliefs and are instead based on erroneous and anti-scriptural doctrines. He identifies and discusses several of these doctrines, including Swedenborg's rejection of the doctrine of the Trinity, his denial of the existence of hell, and his belief in the ultimate salvation of all human beings. Beaumont also critiques Swedenborg's views on the nature of God, the meaning of the Bible, and the role of the church in salvation. He argues that Swedenborg's teachings are dangerous and misleading, and that they should be rejected by all true Christians. Overall, ''The Anti-Swedenborg'' is a thorough and detailed critique of Emanuel Swedenborg's theological writings, and provides a valuable perspective on the debates and controversies surrounding his teachings in the 19th century. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
