The study situates scaldic poetry alongside la poésie eddique - a collection of anonymous Old Norse poems preserved mainly in the Poetic Edda (13th century) - and the Edda de Snorri (or Prose Edda), written by Snorri Sturluson around 1220. The volume explores poetic forms, oral transmission, manuscript preservation, and the cultural interplay between pagan and Christian themes within the medieval Nordic literary tradition.
