Hinzu kommt aus der wettbewerbstheoretischen Sicht, dass für die sogenannten leitungsgebundenen Energieträger ein 'natürliches Monopol' vermutet wird, so dass Fragen der Regulierung und Ausgestaltung der energiepolitischen Rahmenbedingungen eine besondere Rolle spielen. Wir haben deshalb bei der Darstellung Wert darauf gelegt, neuere Entwicklungen auf den Teilmärkten für Energie darzustellen. Eine systematische und umfassende Darstellung aus energiewirtschaftlicher Sicht liegt bisher im deutschen Sprachraum nicht vor.
