If not, stop right there and go back to your gin and sulphurs." Shillaber was a newspaperman and a humorist. Mrs. Partington, his creation, brought him fame. One sheet, 2 pp., about 175 words. Folded for mailing. A Very Good letter.

He mentions a project by "old Mr. Laing of the Signet Library.but who knows when it will see the light, if ever?" John Laing was working with a list entrusted to him by the late Samuel Halkett. Vidare är bifogat ett tidningsurklipp med vidhäftad blankett från Svenska telegrambyrån med en recension av boken ur "Biblioteksbladet" där Carlsunds namn är understruket. Stockholm, Fritzes Kungl. hovbokhandel / Caslon press boktryckeri, 1940. 8:o. 156 sid. inklusive 26 planschsidor + 8 planscher (några i färg) inkl. frontispisporträtt.
