Small Oblong Paper. First Edition. SIGNED BY LAURENCE SALZMANN ON THE FRONT ENDSHEET. 24 photographs by Salzmann taken at the baths in a small town in Romania. The photos are strong and expressionistic in their pictorial compostions showing the men in vulnerable situations and document a lost segment of the Jewish community in this small town. The photos also can't help but bring to mind the holocaust because of the interiors of the bath house bare some resemblance to the death chambers of the concentration camps. Laid in is a nice large 4pg. brochure for the sale of the prints. The fragile paper covers have wear, and minor creases which appears to be common with this book, the interior of the book is very good. Book.
