[From the printed prospectus:] "The Piper of The Stars was a bedtime story told in 1985 by John Forest to his ten-year old daughter Sarah, who illustrated it with seven line drawings. Natalie d'Arbeloff decided to make a book of this story and transfered the drawings to zinc plates, etched them and added aquatint tones. The text was hand set by Stanislaw Gliwa in 14 pt Plantin and printed on an 'Arab' treadle platen press at his private studio in London. The etchings were printed by Natalie d'Arbeloff on her etching press. 22 pp (145 x 255 mm). Edition of 25 copies plus 8 hors commerce. All copies are signed by author, artist and etcher and printed on buff 300 gsm Velin d'Arches mould-made rag paper with Japanese end-paper and interleaves. [-] 25 copies bound by Smith Settle in paper cover boards with a design by the artist; clear acetate wrappers. We are not amused. Can you find them?" [we never have been able to!]. Seven etched plates with aquatint tones, with tissue guards. Printed by Stanislaw Gliwa (one of his last projects before his death). Bound by Brian Settle Co., in a dark blue paper with silver speckles & incorporating tan/brown fibers. Title stamped in silver on spine & with author's names & star & comet design in silver on front cover; deep blue endpapers. Acetate plastic dustjacket/wrapper (shows a few light scratches). With the printed, and folded (10 1/2" 6 1/8") prospectus with hand-penciled details & lighter tinted sample illustration on back. Scan shows the front cover (slightly blurred) & small part of sample illustration on prospectus. Fine copy (as new). Lovely book. One of the Natalie d'Arbeloff books featured in the d'Arbeloff Exhibition at the Rijksmuseum Meermanno-Westreenianum, The Hague, Netherlands during August-October 1992. Signed by Author(s).…
