Book First Edition
First U.K. edition. Possibly a publisher's file copy, presented in an odd format, it is the Paperback original in illustrated blue wraps, loosely inserted into the cloth casing which was presumably used for the hardcover issue, I assume to save space while keeping a record of both in condensed form. The external patterned green cloth casing, lettered in gilt to the spine, is lightly bumped and marked. The paperback within is very well preserved, having been protected by the boards, it is tightly bound, with only light rubbing, nicks and creases to the outer wraps, as well as a few minor marks. The text block is slightly toned and dusty with minor marks, it is stamped: "Property room not to be taken away" to the front endpaper. An odd survival of a humorous novel from a prolific American author.
