Peter van Breevoort was a member of the Dutch res istance during the Second World War. As a teenager he was arrested for bringing food to hiding Jews but released due to the influence of his father. He then went into hiding and was later arrrested but escaped. During Operation Market Garden he a s s i sted downed allied airmen notably glider pilots to escape.
