Add to basketHardcover. Condition: Poor. 1st Edition. See photos for condition details. Hardcover, original 1813 publication in full leather binding though covered with cloth. Exterior is in exceptionally poor shape with front board completely detached and rear board appears to be held on just by the cloth covering. Cloth is very brittle, es…pecially on the spine where it is chipping away. Interior is complete and most of the pages are secure though the front board that is detached has a number of pages attached to it with the break appearing at page 2/3. This is the case in the back of the book as well with the crack appearing at page 660. Pages are toned/darkened due to age and foxing is present. No handwriting found other than the signature of the judge. Signed on the front end page by Edwin H. Stow, who was the President Judge (Chief Justice) of the fifth district in Pennsylvania. Note: this is the original publication from the 1800s and not a modern reprint. First edition thus with proper dates on both title and copyright pages. This is volume 5 only as each volume was published independent of each other throughout a wide range of years. Even though the book is in very poor shape it is complete and usable. Signed by Other.
