This catalog contains a list of the first 280 programs of Firing Line commencing in 1971 with the program's move to the Public Broadcasting Service under the auspices of the Southern Educational Communications Association (SECA). Each transcript was available for purchase at the time and the last page contains an order form. Each program, in order of telecast, was given a transcript number which was compiled and maintained by SECA, although the number does not appear in the actual printed transcript. The catalog contains the transcript number from No. 1 to No. 280, the program subject, and guest (please note that the PBS air date is not provided in this catalog). In addition, there is an introduction by Melissa Mills who indicates that "Firing Line is currently operating at a deficit" with encouragement to purchase transcripts in support of the program.
