Hard Cover. Condition: Fine (see description). Photo Cover (illustrator). First Edition. ------------( 1st printing of the First Edition ) hardcover in slipcase, a Fine example, in a lightly rubbed Near Fine slipcase, this is # 78 of 400 copies, signed by Hauser, from the rear info page: The photographs in this book were made with an antique twelve by twenty Folmer & Schwing banquet camera. This rare instrument is one of the largest portable view cameras; and this particular camera was built between 1907 and 1915 in Rochester, New York, under the auspices of the Eastman Kodak Company. A fourteen inch f 7.7 Goerz Dagor barrel lens, operated without a mechanical shutter, was used to create the images. Banquet cameras were utilized, as the name suggests, primarily for photographing large groups of people at weddings and banquets. Today, the remaining cameras of this format are most often used by landscape photographers ---The origianl photographs that appear in this book were contact printed from the twelve by twenty inch camera negatives on one hundred percent rag paper that was hand coated with platinum metals. These platinum prints were then copied fro reproduction in the book of Hans & Ingeborg., ---obviously high production values and clearly a labour of photographic love, any image directly beside this listing is the actual book and NOT a generic photo /// SIGNED ---GUARANTEED to be AVAILABLE/// ---sizes are approximate (generally within 1/8 inch)--- Size: 15w x 11.25h Inches. Signed (see description).
