Paperback. Condition: new. Paperback. What brings together, two septuagenarians who have been setting cryptic puzzles for decades, a former Chief secretary of an Indian state, the man behind the popular Amul hoardings, two international scrabble champions, a Hula dancer from Hawaii who deftly handles the hardest clues, a banker…from the Middle East who also holds a Guinness award., this list can go on but let's cut to the chase! The answer is easy and begins with a C, or two depending on how you see it. In July 2014, a small group of cruciverbalists came together at a Facebook group called 1ACross to post and solve cryptic clues for each other. Soon, we realized how much fun can be had from social interaction in a 'solitary' pastime, what with hashtagged themed games that changed and challenged on a daily basis. Since July 2015, we began producing annual souvenirs, using original puzzles contributed by our members and sharing these within the group. As these compilations have been very well received, we wanted to introduce these to a wider audience. We are happy to bring to you our third anniversary collection of puzzles. We plan to donate all proceeds from the sales of this book to Cancer research and Cure. While you will no doubt enjoy solving these puzzles, you also get the satisfaction, that your money is also going towards putting an end to the that ugly C word, which has ravaged the lives of many of our friends and family.
