Temple, while on board the U.S.S. Princeton on Oct 29, 1948. Capt. Temple was the Chief of Staff of the aircraft carrier U.S.S. Princeton (CV…-37). DJ is faded and tattered with quite a bit of spotting on the rear. The edge chipping is the worst along the top edge and the paper is brittle. The original price of $2.50 is still present on the front flap although it is crossed out with a pencil. Blue cloth boards underneath clean although there is toning and fading to the edges. The internal binding is good, no hinge issues. The paper is toned due to age and there is some spotting and foxing present, particularly on the exterior page edges. No other handwriting noted, no bookplates, no library markings, nothing torn or loose. Because of the brittleness of the jacket it has been placed in a acid-free sleeve for protection after the photos were taken. Signed by Author(s).
