Hardcover. Condition: Near Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good. First UK. From Goodreads: A reveille is sounded for France in a political parable. Michel Vaillant, a visionary with a sense of mission, writes a letter - to any American whom he can perhaps persuade - and brings Mary Farrant to Abelin, a small southern village. When Vaillant is accused of engineering a bus accident by those who oppose his hopes of becoming mayor, Mary is instrumental in saving him. This copy is near fine in blue cloth with white titles on the spine. Just slight bumping at the spine ends. No other marks or damage. The unclipped DJ has minor edge wear, with a small tear at the top edge near the spine. Signed by Boyle on the title page. TV23.
