No Binding. Condition: Fine. We offer a signed aquatint etching by William Behnken. The plate size of Passages is 9 ⅜" x 8 ¾" printed on white etching paper that measures 11 ¾" x 11". It is editioned, titled and signed in graphite just under the image "6/150 Passages Behnken 2006". In this dramatic still life with rich, varied plate tones Behnken's skill as a draughtsman and printmaker is luminously apparent. This aquatint etching was the annual print for the Print Club of Albany for the year 2006. William Behnken (1943) is a lifelong New York City resident. He studied at the High School of Music and Art and the City College of New York, where he went on to teach for over three decades. Behnken's work is in the collections of The Metropolitan Museum of Art, The Brooklyn Museum, The New York Public Library Print Collection, The Indianapolis Museum and The British Museum. Condition: Fine untouched condition. Signed by Illustrator(s).
