Stockholm; tryckt hos L. J. Hjerta, 1838. (Nytt Läse-Bibliothek, Häfte 88-93). Originalets titel: Abel Allnutt (London, 1837). 12:o. 15x10,5 cm. 224 & 206 & 208 s. Samtida ljusbrunt halvfranskt band med blindpressad samt förgylld dekor, marmorerade pärmpapper och gröna snitt. Omslag och serietitelblad ej medbundna. Ryggen med några små mörka prickar, pärmhörnen något nötta. En liten hörnförlust nedtill på s. 115/116 i andra delen. Ett fåtal spridda obetydliga fläckar. Slående rent och snyggt exemplar. Med Carl Bernhard Ulrik von Dübens exlibris. Första svenska utgåvan. Morier (1780-1849) är mest känd för sina skildringar av Persien; denna roman utspelar sig däremot i England. Contemporary brown half leather with blind-stamped and gilt decorations on spine, marbled boards and green edges. Wrappers and serial title leaves are not preserved. A few small specks on spine. A small cornerloss on pp. 115/116 in part two. Contents are strikingly clean and bright. A very fine copy of the first Swedish edition of Abel Allnutt.
