Translation, usually attributed to Burton, is actually by his friend Rehatsek (see Penzer p. 162). JÄmi (Nur ad-DÄ«n Abd ar-RahmÄn JÄmi) was a 15th century Persian mystic, scholar and poet; he wrote the BehÄristÄn, modelled on the GulistÄn, in 1487.
