    First edition. âPrinted by the Kama Shastra Society for Private Subscribers only." Original full creamy vellum, lettered in gilt on spine. NB. Translation, usually attributed to Burton, is actually by his friend Rehatsek (see Penzer p. 162). JÄmi (Nur ad-DÄ«n Abd ar-RahmÄn JÄmi) was a 15th century Persian mystic, scholar and poet; he wrote the BehÄristÄn, modelled on the GulistÄn, in 1487.

    First edition. vi + 183 pp. Previous owner's inked name and note to first leaf, else very good plus in full vellum that is a little soiled with a vertical crease down the spine. English translation by Burton, with his introduction. One of several translations done by Burton for the Society founded by him and others to circumvent the Obscene Publications Act of 1857.
