Softcover. Condition: Good. First edition. Octavo. Quarter bound in the original cloth spine and printed wraps. Contemporary ownership signature on the front wrap. Some dampstaining to the wrapper and endleaves, else about very good with some fraying to the edges of the front wrap. Includes the historically important Public Act, No. 12 (approved April 10, 1869), relating to treaties with numerous Native American tribes throughout the country: "An Act making appropriations for the current and contingent expenses of the Indian department, and for fulfilling treaty stipulations with various Indian tribes " (pp. 159-191).

No individual title page (as published); titles transcribed from individual title pages. "Published by authority of the Legislative Assembly"--Page [1]. Includes indexes. A solid complete copy. The front wrap and the first few pages showing light water stain. A small corrosive ink stain (?) at the bottom of the cover and extending into the first few pages. An Accouint of the first session of the Territorial Legislature and one of the earliest imprints in the new Territory. This copy enhanced by the signature of Justus Cornelius Ramsey. Justus was the younger brother of Territorial Governor Alexander Ramsey and a delegate to this first session of the Legislature. He later became a successful businessman and after his death endowed a St. Paul orphanage.
