The spines gilt in panels with two black labels. Armorial bookplate to each volume. Minor rubs on the spines and edges. The contents are clean and crisp. A pretty set in its original binding. Smollett's translation first appeared in 1749 and gained immediate popularity resulting in dozens of printings by 1800.
