Collins, a Clergyman from Massachusetts, reports he has created a cure for Consumption, quoted in part: ".says that 20 years ago he expected to die long before this with Consumption, but has lived quite stable by taking horehound occasionally after taking cold . andthen English Commercial Tea, made hot and let stand until cold, and drink it for months . at a time his spittle was considerable . with considerable discharge of matter . and he thinks it stopped by the foods he eats." "His wife has had a "cough" for a long time and considerable discharge of matter that has been treated by taking 20 drops of British Oil on Sugar . and going to bed." The docket on verso indicates that the physician held this affidavit in his files. Usual folds with some light foxing- otherwise in very good condition.
