Cloth. Condition: Very Good. First Edition. Black cloth hardcover with gold lettering on spine, pictorial endpapers, 311 p., a nice clean tight copy, dust jacket shows very light soil and very light wear at top right front corner at fold and at top of spine, the book itself is not signed but laid inside this book is a postcard of St. George and the dragon hand written in ink by the author from London to a New York friend complaining about London (the food and hotel) and the card is signed by the author with his initials "FP," the book came from a collection of signed Prokosch books and this one is the only one that was not actually signed on the book and the post card authenticity might be questioned except for the fact that the book was in the collection of signed copies, the initials "FP" look a little like "JP" but his letter "F" sometimes looks like a "J" and the initials (as well as the entire lengthy message) are squeezed into a small space. Signed by Author(s).
