Signed and inscribed by the author on the front endpaper, "For Troy McKinney - Who is now 21 (at least) Pat Frank 1/2/64." An important sci-fi title, and one of the first post-apocalyptic novels. In a Near Fine unclipped dust jacket with toning to spine, light rubbing at extremities, two vertical scratches to front panel, and faint droplet staining to verso at spine panel. A great copy of an early example of post-nuclear apocalyptic fiction, scarce signed.
