Hardcover. Condition: Near Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good. 1st Edition. Book appears unread; unclipped ($5.00) DJ shows only a touch of wear to corners and spine ends. Inscribed by "I. Peter" on front endpaper: "For Pat/ Producer, colleague, patient listener, and wonderful person," and dated Feb 1967. Gellman was a New York University sociologist and a host of the CBS program "The Learning Experience," so perhaps Pat was a CBS producer? Anyway, "The Sober Alcoholic" appears to be Gellman's only book; he died in 1971, at age 48, of a heart attack. Copies of this important study of Alcoholics Anonymous are startlingly uncommon, particularly signed. 206 pages. Inscribed by Author(s).
