A couple of faint old glue spots to top front cover, some slight edge wear, some foxing and browning to page fore edges, previous owner's inscripti…ons and school presentation inscription in brownish ink to ffep, internally clean tight and square, overall a vg+ copy for its age. 224pp. Percy Francis Westerman (1876-1959), was a prolific author of children's literature, many of his books adventures with military and naval themes. During the 1930s Westerman was voted the most popular author of stories for boys. His books sold over one and a half million copies in his lifetime, and he published at least 174 books, with 12 different firms. Illustrations by W. Edward Wigfull (illustrator).
