La pubblicazione, realizzata in occasione della mostra ospitata a Villa Bardini (Firenze) nell'estate del 2016, racchiude due storie che si sono svolte in tempi e luoghi diversi, ma che riguardano entrambi la vita e l'opera di Pietro Annigoni. La prima è legata al dipinto raffigurante Stefania von Kories, la signora di straordinario fascino ritratta da Annigoni a Firenze tra il 1958 ed il 1959. Dopo un lungo percorso in giro per il mondo, la tela è tornata tra le colline fiorentine, nel museo intitolato al grande pittore. La seconda storia ruota attorno a una figura sconosciuta al grande pubblico, quella di Palmiro Meacci. Uomo di umili origini, incontrò Annigoni nel 1969 e divenne suo segretario. Fu così proiettato sulla scena internazionale, e condivise col maestro vent'anni di esperienze uniche ed eccezionali. Nel volume trova spazio, accanto a testi critici e agli approfondimenti sulle vite dei protagonisti, una galleria di dipinti di Annigoni e preziose testimonianze fotografiche. Boards are a little rub worn, slight shelf wear to corners, spine and edges. Corners are a little bumped. Spine ends are mildly crushed. Light wear to unclipped dust jacket with tears, nicks and creases to spine, edge and corners. Light tanning to spine and edges.
