Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good. Reprint. What we have here is a copy of a 1963 novel by Mr Moore reprinted in the Uniform Edition with blue cloth boards and the green jacket designed by one Priya Kuriako. The only date in the book is the first edition date of 1963 (so, of course, a lot of copies are listed as "1963" which they clearly are not). There is an ISBN, a price of £3.95, and it lists "The Great Victorian Collection" amongst the author's other works, so I'd say this is from 1975 or 1976. Something has struck the front cover, causing three or four small dings in the cloth, one of which has caught the top edge. Otherwise a very good copy indeed in very good dust jacket showing the corresponding dings and tiny nicks in the front panel.
Soft cover. Condition: Good. Please see any and all photos connected with this listing. A bit scuffed but all pages intact and legible. Good reading copy. Clean. No store stamps. --- --- The central character in the book is Brendan Tierney, a young Irish writer living in New York City with his American wife and their two children. Tierney is working on his first novel. For him to write full-time, his wife must work; he invites his widowed mother over from Ireland to look after the children. Conflicts arise when the mother finds that her own lifestyle, values and sense of morality are at odds with what she sees in her son and daughter-in-law's home. . .See photos for additional content. . .
