Hardcover. Condition: Fair. First Edition. Thick Quarto. [2], 1899-2877 pages. Illustrated with several folding plates and maps (including two large folding maps). Dark brown cloth hardcover with title on spine. Cloth binding is worn and faded. End sheets are soiled. Front and rear hinges cracked. One of the maps does not fit properly inside the book causing the edges to be lightly foxed, creased, and torn on the corners. The second large folding map has a small closed tear with no loss of content. This is volume II, Part 3 of a four volume set. Map contents contain details of various harbors and rivers in the United States. Fair only.

Includes: Rivers, Harbors, Bridges, Aqueducts, Fortifications, Public Works, and much more. Covers Virginia, North and South Carolina, Georgia, Texas, Florida, Mississippi River area. A few institution stamps- no spine numbers, no pocket, no markings on maps or plates. Serial Set 2833 in gilt on spine. Good plus, text good, toned, a few closed tears or minor margin chips. Binding is excellent, new and very secure.
